FLWRIDER Frameset

The absolute last thing I need now is yet another track frame but damn the new FLWRIDER Frameset looks sweet!

This is the first new track frame in a looong time that I really like by just looking at a photo. Filet brazed Columbus Spirit tubing is, "Like whoah dude!" to me. I'd love to know the exact geometry but all the right details and touches are there including the classic style track fork, oversize downtube and threadless 1 1/8" headset option. Brake hole drillings I could do without, though.

"We’ll be offering 5 different sizes: 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58 (seat tube C to C)
- Fillet-Brazed
- Columbus Spirit tubings
- Track geometry
- Flwrider signature colorway
- Internal seat clamp
- 68mm English BB
- 1″ treadless headset (1-1/8 treadless headset option available)
USD900 Frame and Fork"

Building A RIH Bicycle

Mike's film from the famous RIH custom framebuilding studio in Amsterdam.

"RIH was formed in 1921 by the Bustraan brothers in Amsterdam Holland. The name RIH is for the name of an Arabian stallion ridden by one of the characters in a Karl May novel which was very popular at the time (and still are in Europe). RIH's first championship was in 1924 when Jan Hijzelendoorn (a butcher) rode a Bustraan brothers frame to the sprint and 1 kilometer titles in the Dutch National Champions. In 1928 the firm moved to its present address in Jordaan district of Amsterdam.

Also in 1928 Willem Bustraan Jr joined the business with his father and Uncle. In 1948 Wim van der Kaaij joined the RIH business as an apprentice, he is the current owner of RIH It is estimated that RIH frames have been ridden to over 350 national championships in both road and track events and 63 World- and Olympic titles."

New School Italian Pista Frame

Maio from http://pistamania.blogspot.com/ just sent me these photos with following the information:

* 100% HAND MADE IN ITALY
* BUILT NOW BUT WITH THE OLD STYLE
* Only 1400gr.
* Only 2 sizes (S & M)

I don't know anything else at this point but the frame looks damn good to me. If only the price will be right, say considerably cheaper than Cinelli Vigorelli for example, I think we have a potential winner here. And you gotta remember that Bianchi Pista Concepts are pretty much impossible to get hold of here in Europe and Cannondale Tracks are super rare, unless you want to pay stupid Ebay prices.

Ellsworth Custom Track Bike

I know there are some of you out there who think that a custom Ellsworth track frame would be something very special. Much cooler than something like, say, a Cannondale Track or GT Pulse for example. Now, if you're in London, you got the money and you act quickly, you can have it. Check it out here.
