Selle Flite Boxed

Just came across these nice pics of a boxed original 1990s classic Selle Flite TI. I myself got Flites in all my bikes at the moment. And no, I don't ride reissues.

(Pics snatched from here.)

Way Back In '94: DOUBLE RUSH !!!

Thanks to Paulus for the heads-up on this. Looks kinda funky in the 1990s way but hey, in the titles part there's someone riding a track bike with Mavic Pursuit bars on it.

Vitus ZX1

Did I just say something about geared retro road bikes being the next thing? Post-fixie Hipster road cycling, anyone?

If you're feeling me on this issue, here's something you just need to check out: a rare 1994 Vitus ZX1 Aero Carbon road bike on Ebay. All Campagnolo'd out and with double 'spoks. Hot 'ish. Even if I start sounding bit too much like AlanWMD, I'm like, whoah, my head is exploding, dude!

You can go bidding crazy HERE.

H+Son Track Frame

Everyone and their mother knows about this already but this is what the H Plus Son alu Track frame will eventually look like, with a traditional flat crown steel fork.

The last pic below is what should be the final version which will be supposedly eventually produced in 53/55/57cm sizes. And yes, the geo is real close to the original Cannondale 1992 Track 1000. But no final word on the price yet, though, except that with the welds smooth like those it's not going to be 'cheap'.

More Grim Logo Competition Darkness.

The Yksivaihde.net Unholy Evil Black Metal Thunder Logo Competition continues and more violated bastard-child contenders keep popping up like shrooms after the acid rain.

Funnily the competition started at the same time with this.

Ellsworth Custom Track Bike

I know there are some of you out there who think that a custom Ellsworth track frame would be something very special. Much cooler than something like, say, a Cannondale Track or GT Pulse for example. Now, if you're in London, you got the money and you act quickly, you can have it. Check it out here.

Insanity On Two Wheels

Scary stuff.

But then the 1990s dance music trainspotter in me forces me to notify you that the background track of the clip above is Utah Saints 'Something Good' from 1992, which samples Kate Bush's 1985 hit 'Cloudbusting'. So now you know.

Kuwahara Robbery In Kauniainen

This local news flash has noting to do with FG or SS bikes as such but still, here we go:

The Espoo Police Department is looking for people who might know something about a 20-something dude with a black hoodie who was seen riding the pictured Kuwahara MTB in Kauniainen last saturday.

Why, you might ask? Is it because those cheap 1990s MTBs suck, or because being a 20-something dude with a black hoodie, he should have been riding a tad bit more trendier/contemporary type of bike?

No, that's not the answer. It's because he rode the bike to a Jewellery store at the Mall in Kauniainen's centre, went in, threatened the staff with a hammer, robbed the place by grabbing dozens of expensive gold chains worth of thousands of Euros and ran away.

And yeah, he ran instead of riding the Kuwahara which was left behind. And of course the cops have no leads on the stick-up kid, only the blue bike.

But maybe he needed cash to buy a new Bianchi Pista?
