De Rosa Pista 1981

"The bike was raced by Danny Clark in the 1981 season. Most notably he took it to the 1981 world Keirin Championships, which he won that year. I bought the bike of another track racer who bought it of Clark in 1982. The bike has therefore full history and is (apart from the saddle) exactly the way it was in 81."

And it is currently for sale on LFGSS.com, for a measly grand, in Sterling.

Another One Down

This was a sad day. Mikko's Rossin Pista was not made for bike polo, obviously. On the other hand the bike has been ridden hard for a long time so this was not exactly a suprise, I guess. Also, I'd say it's still probably somehow fixable but who knows.

Olmo Pista Scatto

There are Italian classic track bikes for sale on Ebay all the time but somehow this Olmo Pista Mod. Scatto looks nicer than plenty of others. Columbus Brain is known to be top-notch tubing and the straight chrome fork looks damn neat. The bike's unfortunately not my size...

Colnago Master Pista Mania

There are nice bikes on Ebay right now: Classic 1980s Colnago Master Pista here, and if you prefer more new school style here's a Colnago X Stash collabo Master Pista.

Both are extremely lovely but I'd prefer the first one.

Rossin Dominator on Ebay

This Rossin Dominator is probably bit special, or at least the Ebay-seller thinks it is:

"I have never seen another bike of this kind! This is quite possibly one of the fastest track bikes designed for going in a straight line out there. If you are slow this bike will make you fast. If you are ugly this bike will make you attractive. Reach speeds that will blow womens clothes off. The bike measures as a 56, but due to the unique geometry, will fit anywhere from a 54 to a 59. The bike has multiple chips (easily touched up with your mom's nail polish) but no dents or deformities whatsoever."

Bressan 'Pistaiolo'

Bressan - Bicyclette Speciali out of (yeah, you guessed it...) Italy, and from Verona to be more specific, sent me an email about their new steel track frameset 'Pistaiolo'. A classic track frame with some very nice touches, like the chromed lugs and forks both in front and rear, plenty of panthographs etc.

There's no word about the type of tubing used or the price but go ahead and check out the site: http://www.bressanbike.com/

Now I'm not really digging what I'm seeing here but let's wait and see for more pics etc.
