Weekend Trip To Stockholm

Last weekend we "did" Stockholm. The drunken ferry, bike polo, beer, mashing around the town, the Finland vs. Sweden match even made it into the local newspaper. Great trip all in all, many thanks for the Stockholm boys and girls for hosting us in Söder!

The Finnish Bike Polo Champions 2011

So, the Finnish Bike Polo Champions of 2011 are the Tampere team Tre Kronor. Helsinki had to settle for silver by Dets It SHW and bronze for my personal favorite team SNIKT! All in all a great tournament, awesome teams and players, exciting games.

Hardcourt Bike Polo Finnish Championships 6.-7.8.2011

Yeah, the first ever Hardcourt Bike Polo Finnish Championships are taking place between 6.-7.8.2011 in Helsinki. There are going to be about twenty teams from all over the country playing. More info here.

DIY Disc Wheel 2.0

Crusty's second version/attempt at constructing an DIY "alt.disc wheel"(tm). Built from discarded vinyl records of some Finnish punk bands no one cares about, apparently.

Another One Down

This was a sad day. Mikko's Rossin Pista was not made for bike polo, obviously. On the other hand the bike has been ridden hard for a long time so this was not exactly a suprise, I guess. Also, I'd say it's still probably somehow fixable but who knows.
