Le Prince Bicyclette !!!
Finally the pics are here. Le Prince Bicyclette's first and brand new fixed bike model is out and looks, well, sweet.
Le Prince Bicyclette is the first Finnish fixed gear bike brand, set up by the long standing bike shop Berggren. Their bikes are designed in Turku, Finland and manufactured in Taiwan. Traditional style lugged steel frame with some nice modern touches like the threadless straight blade fork. Pricing of the complete bike is very competitive too. And those bold color choices are guaranteed to divide opinions but boring they ain't, that's for sure. ;)
I've yet to test ride one of these and I don't know if they will ship internationally etc. but check out their new blog HERE for more pics and info.

Goldsprint Bahnrahmen / Track Frame
Here's a new classic looking lugged steel track frameset from Germany. Hand-built with Columbus Zona tubing, sporting 'aggressive short track geometry' and not drilled for brakes.
I guess you could do much worse for the 499€ price tag. I'm not quite sure about the name/decals but besides that I would def ride that.
Alex who's selling these told me that he also deals custom frames so basically everything the customer wants is possible. Get in touch with him if you're interested.
Read more HERE and check out the Flickr gallery HERE.
Traitor Ringleader 2010
The new and updated Traitor Cycles Ringleader 2010 looks pretty neat. They claim (like four times on the same web-page...) that 'its the only production fillet brazed fixed gear bikes on the market'. Well, what can I say? Probably a very nice whip.

Gran Royale // The Lurker
Meet Burt Benson from Gran Royale on Vimeo.
I'm digging and then again I'm NOT really digging this video. Everything there including the name of the brand is bit too much of a lame rip-off (or is it rather a homage?) from the Beastie Boys and their Grand Royal magazine circa 1995. In fact maybe I need to dig up my Grand Royal collection from the basement archive now and read them all over again. And the video above is an ad for their Lurker tricktrack bike.

Mystery Cranksets pt.II: 'The Plot Thickens'

Since even the mighty red bearded blog behemoth from Brooklyn that is John Prolly picked up on this issue, I wanted to continue the epic search for the origins of the mysterious so-called Campy Nuovo Record Copy Cat cranksets appearing on several 2010 fixed gear complete bikes.
So, following the hot tip dropped by my man Chainthug, I navigated to the Origin8 website. But when I searched their 'Classic Sport' line cranksets and chainrings, what did I discover? There were nice pictures of everything else but NO pictures of the Classic Sport ones!
This is starting to look more and more like some kind of a grand conspiracy now...
What's next, H+Son drops a new 'classic track crankset' insipired by the original Sugino Super Mighty cranks or something?

Mystery Cranksets
As if Electra's new Ticono line wasn't enough, here's another new-production crankset which appears to be direct copy of Camopagnolo's classic Nuovo Record.
Same cranks can apparently be seen on 2010 Fixie Inc. Black Jack, Pashley Clubman and Condor Classico Pista models but none of these companies have revealed which brand cranks these actually are, or who makes them. Anyhow, they look pretty crappy in comparison to the real thing.

Dolan Carbon Seta
We have a 550 in stock & it cam out at 1.2kg frame only. For those that don't weigh everything thats light for a track frame! Thats also light for a road frame. "
More Bianchi Super Pista at Interbike
Interesting, 'beefier tubeset', 'strengthened rear end', 'integrated seatpost clamp', 'drilled for brake', but 'available in limited numbers'...

'Project 4815 carbon commuter bike'
From Hipster Nascar and full of WIN!
"The Project 4815 carbon commuter bike is a tribute to Michael Ball's favorite gear cluster".
FYI:
I ate a Twix bar, drank coffee, listened to Journey and felt mildly euphoric when I wrote this post.

At Interbike
Not the best pics but these might interest some of you, Bianchi Super Pista, Pista Classica and cool Geekhouse cyclocross bike. The double 'spoks on the Super Pista are bit much, though.
Snatched from Urban Velo image dump 1 and 2.

Bianchi Pista Classica 2010

First the new Super Pista and now there's even more new exciting stuff from Bianchi USA: Pista Classica, steel frameset with chromed lugs, ends and bb shell, and even a straight fork. Looking good!

More Eurobike 2009 Pics
Going through more pics from Eurobike 2009 I discovered little more niceness than I initially did yesterday. Especially the De Rosa Pista above is lovely, and while I'm not so much into the new Lansgter steel personally, I guess many people will really dig it.

Lil' Eurobike 2009 FG Review

I was just checking out the Road CC's report on track / fixed gear bikes from the Eurobike 2009 and at least looking at the pics they've posted so far, I'm not very impressed. Maybe I've just become too jaded for this 'ish but all the off-the-shelf complete builds different brands are now offering for the would-be fixie riders look either ugly or plain boring to me. But maybe that's just me.
The only bike I genuinely liked was the Look ALP 464 track machine, above.
Well, the Cinelli X Mash bike is always nice too, of course, but on the other hand, I'm not at all sure about the other new Cinelli Gazzetta Fixie, at the bottom there.

Specialized Langster Steel

The pic is apparently from Specialized 2010 catalogue, here. There's a white one too but is that even really real...?
