Weekend Trip To Stockholm

Last weekend we "did" Stockholm. The drunken ferry, bike polo, beer, mashing around the town, the Finland vs. Sweden match even made it into the local newspaper. Great trip all in all, many thanks for the Stockholm boys and girls for hosting us in Söder!

Credits: Osku shot and edited the video, Toni took the photos.

GoExpo 2011

Tnts visited to the GoExpo 2011 - bicycle fair at the Helsinki convention centre today as a guest of the Pelago boys, and and to stealthily promote KRNKY I guess. Anyway, I didn't go there because I had better things to do but I'm posting some his photos to show you the best - and the worst - fixed/single speed bikes of the event. But I will leave it up to you all to decide which is which...

Thanks to Toni for the photos.

Helsinki Fixed Gear Documentary 'Fiksikeskarit'

Fiksikeskarit from T/N/T/S on Vimeo.

A documentary short movie about the long-running Yksivaihde.net Wednesday Tricks & Beers Social Night, filmed and edited by tnts in Töölö, Helsinki. This is about as rad as it gets around here.

Oh well, I feel sorry that I missed this week's sesh when the filming took place. And while I'm no movie critic I detect a flavor of Finnish modern cinema in Aki Kaurismäki's vein, bit of Cinéma Vérité and even a hint of classic Italian Neorealism somewhere in there.

Tikkurilan Ajomies Ad feat. Paulus

This is apparently 'organic advertising' and somehow part of the Helsinki Design Week? Anyhow, Paulus who is running the Hyötypyörä courier service wants to thank and recommend Eppu and his Tikkurilan Ajomies bike shop. Listen to him, I believe the man knows what he is talking about here.

Oh, and including also a KRNKY cell holster gaining nation wide media exposure.

From here.

The Step To The Dark Side

Yeah, I've done it, even if I might have said something completely else in the past. Certain 'Tricks rider in Finland" applied his magical salesman skills and made me an offer I couldn't turn down. And everyone needs a polo bike anyway, right? Mad props and big thanks to KRNKY for hooking me up with their kick ass pedal straps. I'm still waiting for the mailman to bring me some new fatter tires and whatnot but a new bike is always nice thing to have.

Jesse too the photo and here's whole set more of them.

KRNKY Pedal Strap Instructions

Because even if you never bother to read instructions first, sometimes they do help...

KRNKY Pedal Straps

The long awaited KRNKY Pedal Straps are finally out. There are tons of different versions and variations of this type of straps for flat pedals out there but these are looking good to me. Toni himself seems to be pretty confident in superiority of their particular design which took some time and testing to get just right.

Now my only problem with these is that I don't currently have a bike that would go along nicely with these. Putting flat BMX pedals on a classic track bike f**ks things up bit too much. Yeah, life is so hard...

Besides the straps Toni & Kaisa also got a new cool Double Belt Bag out, if you want to carry more stuff with you without having to resort to a bag or a backpack.

Helsinki Winter Commute

Helsinki winter commute from T/N/T/S on Vimeo.

Some cycling here in snowy Helsinki. These guys are in fact the very people behind KRNKY Cycling Clothing & Accessories. So now you know.

EDIT.

Correction. I was wrong. Again. The sountrack is NOT is by Itäväylä, one DJ Pertzza AKA Randy Barraduca's numerous projects. Instead it's by Aavikko. Anyhow, I think it should have been by Itäväylä. Ha!
