Seen in Kuta Beach, Bali
Amazing photo, taken by Jesse. What does this tell us about the spread of the global fixed gear culture? And hey, remember this?

Mercky Friday
(Fake?!) Rossin Pista Pursuit
This is Rossin is on Ebay now. The price has gone up from 400 dollars to the current 1500 dollars in less than 24 hours and there are still five days before the auction closes. Like whoa! Also check out the tiger and the scary horror movie dwarf or whatever in the background of the photo.
EDIT.
As pointed out at LFGSS, this could well be a fake, unfortunately. There are not any of the typical Rossin pantographs on the frame and the cool monostay cannot be found in any other similar pursuit Rossins, at least not on the ones one can find photos of online anyway. Also it looks repainted so buyer beware.

Stadi Summer Session // Helsinki 20 August 2011
"Pohjoismaiden suurin BMX-kilpailu Stadi Summer Session järjestetään lauantaina 20. elokuuta Narinkkatorilla.
Puisto on suurin mitä Suomeen on koskaan rakennettu. Stadi Summer Session -kilpailua saapuvat juontamaan New Yorkin BMX-legenda Darryl Nau ja Euroopan BMX-guru Andy Zeiss.
- Juontajalla on tapahtuman tunnelman ylläpitämisessä todella iso rooli.

Cinelli 2012 Product Line
... will apparently include among other things reproductions of the classic 1A quill stems, the Giro D’Italia and the awesome Criterium handlebars. Nice!
"Classic bars and 1A stem
Cinelli have also brought back three of their classic cockpit designs. First up is the aluminium Giro D’Italia ’64 bar, which is made from 6061 alloy to meet the latest EN standards but still shaped exactly like the original. With a 75mm reach and 140mm drop, it’s the ideal companion to a classic road bike.
The 1965 Criterium bar is also back, with its deeper drop (145mm) and further forward curve (82mm). In its day, this was the sprinter's bar of choice. Cinelli have recreated the original ‘milky’ anodised finish of the originals too.
The classic 26mm diameter bars need a stem, so Cinelli have brought back the 1A. It's now made from 6066 T6 alloy to meet EN standards but has the same simple, elegant design. It's available with the same ‘Milky’ finish as the bars, in lengths from 90mm to 130mm."
The Caleido Ribbon bar tape below looks pretty nice too: "This is made from multi-density leather-like material, with rainbow coloured EVA padding underneath that shows through the tape's perforations, giving a kaleidoscope effect."

Rossin Pista 1989
These are very nice. Finnish catalogue scans of the Rossin track bikes from 1989 with original prices in Finnish markka and all. For example the 6350 FIM would be about 1070€ today. I guess the catalogue was made by Tunturi brand who imported Rossin to Finland at the time.
The fact that I very recently scored a lovely track frameset equiped with some original Gipiemme Pista Special parts on it much like the one above makes this an even sweeter find.
The TT bike conversion(?) below is bit funky looking, though. The grey track bike below made with more obscure and apparently slightly heavier Falck tubing appears to be the budget version as the complete bike was priced about two thirds of price of the Columbus SL version. The parts are not exactly the same either.
