VPCX Lupauksenvuori - First Lap! from Raparperi McCyclist on Vimeo.
VPCX is a totally unofficial free for all -style cyclocross race series that takes place around Finland in various locations. Today's race was in Laajalahti, Espoo. And yes, there were guys doing it fixed too.

Blog Highlight Of The Day: Le Prince
Jonas' new-ish Le Prince Blog is straight-up lovely. Fun stuff & good times, I'm diggin' the 'greisibailu' vibe. Also, yours truly can be seen in several photos there already. Not saying more, though. ;)

Found In A Barn
Unknown track frame found in some barn somewhere in Finland. Apparently there were also two old Bianchis in the same place. Damn!
I stole the pic from the new owner, Tommi.

Dark Forest
Yeah, it's grim up in here already at this time of the year. Dark cold forests a plenty and all that but us Scandinavians are used to that, right?
OT: This still makes me laugh every time...

Teivo Velodrome // Tampere Finland

Just two freshly taken pics of the Teivo Velodrome in Tampere Finland. It's one of the only three velodromes in Finland, the other two being the Käpylä Olympic Velodrome in Helsinki and the Kupittaa velodrome in Turku.
The pictured Tampere one is in unusable condition and the decision to demolish it has apparently already made. Anyway, plywood does not survive the elements forever up here in the north. Looks pretty sad.
