More Erik Salumäe

Lefa got inspired by my post yesterday and took a dive into his cycling book collection and found more original photos of Erika Salumäe with her Cinelli Laser Pista. Go here to see more of his scans.

Also, the Ebay auction of the said frameset which already had bids on it at around 4000 USD got pulled down all of a sudden yesterday. Just a coincidence?

Pirita Velodrome // Tallinn, Estonia

It's been almost a year since I visited our southern neighboring town Tallinn in Estonia and wrote 'a scene report'. Well, some of my facts were later corrected and as I just found these photos from my iPhoto I realized I never wrote the second part of my report. Whatever. 

Just enjoy these photos of the Pirita Velodrome in the eastern suburb of Tallinn. The place is easy to find and only couple of kilometres from the downtown area. If I remember correctly, the guys at the Rattapood bike shop there told me that the 'drome was build around 1968 or so. And it's still used despite the somewhat rough condition concrete surface.
